A fine pair of early 18th century Japanese richly decorated imari baluster vases. Lamped on hand-carved and water gilt wooden bases. Both vases have been fitted with antiqued brass plates and adjustable height dual fittings with finals. The vases are decorated in two separate panels and a border painted with chrysanthemums. The panels show carps in a stream and a phoenix or bird of paradise in the other. Typical imari colours: Tomato red, blue, black, orange and gilt highlights. One of the vases has some craquelure on the glaze surface.

Large 18th Century Japanese Imari Vase as a Lamp

A charming Dutch late 17th century ‘Kwab’ or centre table. Decorated in a green painted surface with gilded highlights. Typical Baroque scrolling legs and decoration. The marble-top later and associated. The table dates from circa 1700.

A finely carved gilt wood and gesso console table dating from the last quarter of the seventeenth century. The curvature of the legs, paw feet and stretcher surmounted by an urn are suggestive of an Italian origin. Table top covered in antique red velvet, it may have once had a stone top. Overall a highly decorative and impressive quality piece.

Impressive Continental 17th Century Gilt wood Console Table

Very decorative pair of early 18th century brown painted wood (possibly pine) hall chairs. The usual model for this chair is in mahogany. We have not seen a pair in painted pine before. The paint is in original condition and therefore has some scuffs and minor losses. Bearing a family crest on the upper front back.
