An impressively large mid-18th century carved giltwood mirror in the Rococo style. The later shaped divided twin plate surmounted by a pierced acanthus leaf cresting flanked by icicles, the pierced ‘C’@ scroll sides with trailing oak leaves and acorns, above a pierced rocaille, double ‘C’ scroll and acanthus carved apron below. This mirror has excellent detailing and superb crisp carving throughout; the gilt finish has nicely aged to present a superb centrepiece mirror for any room or hallway. Lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. Can be converted for EU or US use. A handsome and extremely decorative English late 18th century Japanned black rectangular tilt top chinoiserie side table. The table is raised by a richly painted tripod base with gilt designs of foliate scrolls on a black lacquered background, circa 1790-1800. In overall excellent sold condition, the top has a very slight bow due to the aging of the wood.

Finely painted in typical Imari palette with underglaze blue on white background and overglaze gold and red floral decoration with elaborate panels depicting birds and shishi lions. A pair of portraits by Swiss artist Johan Huber, dated 1711 oil on convex copper; held in the original foliate carved giltwood frames. Size in frames 21.5 inches high (55 cm). Provenance: Steiger family, Tschugg Manor, Bern, Switzerland until 1875.

This very tall and impressive octagonal shaped Imari vase depicts two unfolded screens with a landscape and architecture decoration and on top of it a rich pelmet-like fabric ending in a beautiful drapery on each side of the screen. The vase is in very good conditions, has been restored inly on the inside to secure some hairline cracks that dont go through the body. An identical example is shown in Wilhemsthal House, Germany, inv. nr. 4.1926.

Massive Japanese Imari Lidded Jar, circa 1700

A medium sized Chinese Transitional Wucai porcelain Vase dating, circa 1640 and transformed into a lamp with a hand-carved giltwood base. The vase with an old restoration on the back where two pieces have been re attached to the body through the use of rivets/staples (typical 19th century way of restoring).
