An impressive and highly decorative early 18th century North Italian console table dating circa 1730-1740 and retaining most of its original gilding and inset with a beautiful “travertino” marble top. A very similar example, of larger proportion, in the Royal Palace of Turin as shown in the second picture. Very good condition, no replacements or losses, original gilding, sturdy structure. Impressive stature very suitable for a hall or living room to accomodate lamps or sculptures.

A Large Japanese Arita Blue and White unfinished vase, dating around 1690. Decorated in underglaze blue on white background with large geometric panels and ribbons on a peonies and flowers background. This vase as been left undecorated for a later secondary coloured glaze or lacquer application. A similar example, supplied by Horneman Antiques in 2016, in the British Museum, London, Inv. Nr. 2016, 3001.1

A Large Japanese Imari vase, dating around 1700.The body is finely painted in typical Imari palette (underglaze blue and overglaze red gold and green)Decorated with three large panels depicting phoenixes and shishi lions on a blue foliate background The panels are separated by three large knotted double tassels‍ Lamped and mounted on a hand carved, water gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. Large 18th Century Japanese Imari Vase as a Lamp

A finely carved gilt wood and gesso console table dating from the last quarter of the seventeenth century. The curvature of the legs, paw feet and stretcher surmounted by an urn are suggestive of an Italian origin. Table top covered in antique red velvet, it may have once had a stone top. Overall a highly decorative and impressive quality piece.

Impressive Continental 17th Century Gilt wood Console Table

A fine pair of early 18th century Japanese porcelain models of a carp leaping the Lungmen Falls, Arita Kilns, circa 1730-1750. Made from a two-piece mould, the tail and fins were made separately and luted to the body. The carp is depicted in a dynamic pose bent at the tail forcing the body upwards, open mouthed with it`s Barbles pushed back to it`s eyes it is clearly struggling. It is decorated in underglaze blue, pale iron-oxide, red and gold. For similar examples: Christies London, Sale 12445, 6/07/2016, lot 9.

A Japanese imari vase of baluster form and decorated with panels of birds, dragons and fish amidst peonies and a scrolling foliate ground enriched with gilding. Similar examples: Pitti Palace, Florence, Royal Apartment. Christies London, sale 10901, lot 40.
