This large Japanese Imari vase, dating from circa 1700, features an unusual decoration depicting two large quails perching on a tree branch on a blue background with hexagons panels depicting butterflies and stylized flowers. The lid depicting same geometric patterns and surmounted by a trunk shaped finial with a small quail resting on it. Condition: The vase is perfect; the lid has restorations to the border. A beautifully decorated Dutch delft blue and white Charger depicting a warrior holding a flag in a landscape of trees and architectural elements.

This large Japanese Imari vase, dating from circa 1700 and in perfect condition, feature a very elegant decoration with peonies, chrysanthemums and lond tailed birds. Professionally lamped with a hand-carved and gilded base and brass top.

18th Century Japanese Imari Vase as a Lamp, circa 1700

A pair of large Chinese Export reverse glass portrait pictures, one panel depicting a woman of rank, the other her husband, probably a dignitary in their original frames. Their scale is unusually large and are exceptionally fine. The pictures retain their original moulded frames together with their pierced bronze hanging plates. However they are in ‘country house’ condition. The delicate technique of painting behind hand moulded glass panels renders them vulnerable to the hand of time. There are many areas where the paint has lifted from the glass.
