A fine pair of early 18th century Japanese richly decorated imari baluster vases. Lamped on hand-carved and water gilt wooden bases. Both vases have been fitted with antiqued brass plates and adjustable height dual fittings with finals. The vases are decorated in two separate panels and a border painted with chrysanthemums. The panels show carps in a stream and a phoenix or bird of paradise in the other. Typical imari colours: Tomato red, blue, black, orange and gilt highlights. One of the vases has some craquelure on the glaze surface.

Rare pair of late 17th Century Japanese powder blue globular vases of small proportions. This kind of decoration (solid blue background with overglaze gold decoration) is typical of Chinese porcelain. Japanese potters attempted to replicate it but with less success hence the rarity of this colour scheme. We only had one vase such as these before. An interesting fact: a leaf of one of the two vases has been painted in green enamel and it was most probably a mistake during the decorating process. Lamped for UK use with a handmade giltwood base and solid brass fitting; can be easily converted to EU or US Lampshades are not included Height excluding fitting: 34 cm

This very tall and impressive octagonal shaped Imari vase depicts two unfolded screens with a landscape and architecture decoration and on top of it a rich pelmet-like fabric ending in a beautiful drapery on each side of the screen. The vase is in very good conditions, has been restored inly on the inside to secure some hairline cracks that dont go through the body. An identical example is shown in Wilhemsthal House, Germany, inv. nr. 4.1926.

Massive Japanese Imari Lidded Jar, circa 1700

A Large and heavily potted Japanese Imari sleeve vase, dating around 1690.Decorated in imari palette on a white background Depicting peonies and blossoming trees on a stylised rocky landscape‍ Lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with double UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. Can be converted for EU or US use. Lampshades are not included. It will require a top fitting lampshade.

Large 17th Century Japanese Imari Sleeve Vase as a Lamp

A rare, oversized, possibly unrecorded,pair of Chinese Kangxi Dynasty (1662-1722) Blue and White chargers dating from around 1700 and made for the foreign markets (export) most probably for the Dutch since the shape recalls one of 17th century silver chargers. Large Kangxi mark on the base, beautiful scrolling foliage decoration on the front. Good condition: a chip the size of a thumbnail expertly restored on the side and not visible in both of them.
