This portrait of a handsome young man is in excellent condition and in an 18th century frame (some losses to the carving and gilding). The sitter is attractively portrayed wearing a red waistcoat trimmed with gold braid under a brown great coat. He is also wearing a lace neck cloth and his tricorn hat is tucked under his arm. The sitter radiates a youthful confidence which is appealing.

A large Chinese Wanli period (1563-1620) blue and white porcelain bowl in perfect condition depicting several panels with flowers and tree branches and a scene with birds in the center. The bowl has been later highlighted, possibly in Holland with gilt and iron red decoration through a process called “clobbering”, which is here explained.

A pair of mid 18th century North Italian (Piedmont?) rococo polychrome girandoles, circa 1740. Each carved with high relief scrolls forming a pierced canopy at the top. The whole is surmounted by a polychrome foliate scroll and further enriched with entwining branches, leaves flowers and buds. Provenance: with Mallett, London. Illustrated in Mallett " Exceptional furniture and works of art ", 2010, pp. 142-143. Illustrated in Mallett, 2012 catalogue, where they feature in the famous yellow room of Ely House, pp 152-153.

A large lamped Japanese late 17th / early 18th century Imari Vase of elongated ovoid form with flaring neck, decorated in the Imari palette of underglaze blue with overglaze iron-red and green enamel with details in gold. The decoration with scroll and ribbon motifs with landscapes, peonies, prunus and vines. On a hand carved water gilt wooden base and antiques brass plate and light fitting.

A Large Chinese Wucai porcelain sleeve vase, dating around 1620. The body is boldly painted in typical Wucai palette (overglaze green, red, yellow and brown). Decorated with large pomegranates, phoenixes, peonies and leaves. Lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base, fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug. Can be converted for EU or US use.

Tall Early 17th Century Chinese Wucai Vase, circa 1620

This very tall and impressive octagonal shaped Imari vase depicts two unfolded screens with a landscape and architecture decoration and on top of it a rich pelmet-like fabric ending in a beautiful drapery on each side of the screen. The vase is in very good conditions, has been restored inly on the inside to secure some hairline cracks that dont go through the body. An identical example is shown in Wilhemsthal House, Germany, inv. nr. 4.1926.

Massive Japanese Imari Lidded Jar, circa 1700

A Large Japanese Arita Blue and White unfinished vase, dating around 1690. Decorated in underglaze blue on white background with large geometric panels and ribbons on a peonies and flowers background. This vase as been left undecorated for a later secondary coloured glaze or lacquer application. A similar example, supplied by Horneman Antiques in 2016, in the British Museum, London, Inv. Nr. 2016, 3001.1

Late 17th Century Japanese Arita Porcelain Vase as a Lamp

A magnificent Dutch late 17th century silver-gilt console or centre table. On lion paw legs with intricately carved Baroque stretchers panels. The silver gilding beautifully aged and muted. The Brocatello top thickly hewn from a solid and beautifully veined piece of marble, Baroque, circa 1680.
