A Large Japanese Arita Blue and White unfinished vase, dating around 1690.

Decorated in underglaze blue on white background

with large geometric panels and ribbons on a peonies and flowers background.

This vase as been left undecorated for a later secondary coloured glaze or lacquer application.

A similar example, supplied by Horneman Antiques in 2016, in the British Museum, London, Inv. Nr. 2016, 3001.1

Height 42 cm

Diameter 32 cm

Condition: perfect

Lamped and mounted on a hand carved and hand gilt wooden base,

fitted with antiqued brass plate with UK fittings, brown silk flex and black UK plug.

Can be converted for EU or US use. Lampshades are not included.
