A pair of George II mahogany hall chairs with silhouette shaped backs with balloon shaped dished seats. The front legs of silhouette and arched form, also with dished roundels. English, circa 1740 – 1760 Good quality hall chair with nice generous shape and made of really dense and heavy grained Cuban mahogany. For comparable examples see the entrance hall: Dumfries House, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Size:  Height 100cm-39.5in.  Seat Height 46cm-18in.  Depth 48cm-19in. Width 41cm-16in.
